Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Tess is the coolest. On a split-second decided to come and travel to Houston to spend Christmas day with me. Whatta grooovy Grove.
Christmas Eve, we strolled around our neighborhood with Jason, Terry, Julia, and her baby checking out the competition of Christmas decorations around the block. We definitely came up short in "keeping up with the Jones'". Pretty much we were the joke of the neighborhood (if they even bothered noticing). You see, as busy as we were leading up to Christmas, the only decoration we had up to Christmas day on the outside of our house was a string of red jalepeno lights(serious) framing our doorway. We jacked it up on Christmas day with icicle lights and the pathway to our door illuminated. It looked purty.
On Christmas night, we attempted also to sing carols together in the livingroom, with our fireplace rollin' and our beautifully decorated frosted tree chock with presents giving us ambiance.
We had baked cinnamon-rasin apples topped with vanilla icecream as we watched.....Starman??? Yeah, Starman, the one with Jeff Bridges. I don't get why we watched that one on Christmas Eve...something to do with Christmas...the star in the Starman, maybe. Who knows. We watched it on a large projector screen together. I didn't watch the whole thing...
The next morning, Terry and I woke up at the crack of dawn(6:30) and broke out our crepes with cream and strawberries....scrumptous. Oh, and chocolate sauce. We watched "Just Friends", because it's a Christmas movie, of course. Well, if you've watched it, you'll know why we did. It's a heck of a funny movie. And the freaky singer girl reminds us of Julie(a girl that stayed with us for awhile), and the little creepy brother reminds us of Terry, and Jason is supposedly the main guy. I don't know who I am in there...oh, and we tried to wake Tess up, but she would have none of it. I didn't blame her. It was waaay early.
In the afternoon, Tess and I joined a carpool and went to a Christmas party. I had gotten Champagne as a Christmas gift, so Tess and I broke it out and jolly well drank it with some new-found friends(ain't it cool how alcohol can bond you?). She didn't have much time as she had to catch the bus. But I was tipsy all the way to the bus station and back. I hope Tess was feeling cheery because of it too. I love that girl.
Tess, I know i'm a nasty sister, and that i cheated you out of a family. But I still love you sooooo much. Merry Christmas to you!
And Merry Christmas everyone!

I am blessed to have so many children, like the Old lady who lived in a shoe, she had so many children she didn't know what to do.
Can't keep up with all of you.
Now for some crazy news, to add to my already 3 grandchildren, I may soon have 2 step grandkids!
They are both teens! Do you realize if the older one gets married and has a kid, you know what that will make me?
A Step Great-Grandfather!
I feel like Job! I will live to see
my fourth generation! Maybe even fifth!
Love always, Dad
